They are easy to read, write and remember, yet distinctive enough to be recognized by the computer as hyperlinks.
A person's homepage on the wiki has a name corresponding to the person's real name, the UserName. It is often used to sign contributions.
Bill Clinton's wikiname will be, for instance,
BillClinton and his homepage available by clicking on the wikiname link.
